The always-enterprising Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet devotes its latest recording to the kaleidoscopic music of Italian composer Fulvio Caldini (b. 1959), whose inspiration ranges from medieval plainchant to modern-day minimalism. Caldini’s original compositions and editions of Vivaldi and Donizetti are published by Berben, Moeck and Breitkopf & Haertel. He is a tenured professor of chamber music at the Milan Conservatory.
