The great conductor Carlo Maria Giulini's answer to the question of what fascinated him about making music amounted to his Credo: "Music is a great miracle and a great mystery. Everything to do with music is fascinating – whether conducting or playing." This release is from Testament's series of recordings documenting Giulini's live concert performances with the Berlin Philharmonic taken from radio broadcasts from the 1970s and 80s.
