Bending the rules of Occitan tradition, Moussu T e lei jovents reinvent the songs of Marseilles to spread the message of Provence, a harbor turned towards the sea, cosmopolitan and proud of its history. Their music draws on popular sounds from Marseilles of the 1930s - a mixture of Provençal songs, Vincent Scotto's operettas, blues, jazz, Caribbean and Brazilian music. With this cosmopolitan blend of musical styles, Moussu T brings together their latest collection of shanty songs that tell of the briny seas, abandoned shipyards and the calanques. Their repertoire is simultaneously traditional and modern, local and universal, nostalgic and above all, foot tapping.
