Troileana is the first international release by the charismatic Argentinean tango singer Liliana Barrios. Here she pays tribute to the great bandoneon virtuoso Aníbal Troilo (1914-1975), whose name is venerated in Argentina as fervently as that of Carlos Gardel. Atmospherically arranged by Juan Carlos Cuacci, who also leads the splendid line-up, this new recording of the classic songs Troilo penned in the 1940s and ’50s features some of the most important Argentine tango players: Walter Ríos (bandoneón), Horacio Romo (second bandoneón), Juan Alberto Pugliano (piano), Juan Pablo Navarro (upright bass), Jorge Pérez Tedesco (cello), Leonardo Ferreyra (violin).
